Cloud & Microsoft 365

Cloud services and business systems being securely managed

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and cloud

Practical cloud support for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

Bring licensing, users, business email, security, backup and cloud changes together with one team that understands the wider IT environment.

Joined-up cloud support

Support the service, not just the licence

A cloud subscription is only one part of a dependable working environment. Users still need secure access, sensible permissions, reliable email, protected data and a clear support route.

JM Restart can supply and manage licences or support services bought elsewhere. We prefer to manage licensing where this gives the customer a clearer renewal, administration and support route, but a licence transfer is not forced simply to receive help.

A useful fit when you need

  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licensing help
  • User, mailbox and access administration
  • Security and email-authentication improvements
  • Independent SaaS backup
  • A carefully planned cloud change or migration

Cloud services in context

Practical help across the working day

The exact scope depends on your licences, configuration and agreement. These service areas can be combined around your organisation.

Licensing and subscriptions

Help choosing, supplying and managing appropriate Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Adobe licences without treating every organisation the same.

Users and access

User onboarding and offboarding, licence reviews, mailbox access, shared resources and permission management.

Email and collaboration

Support for business email and the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace services your team uses to communicate, store and share information.

Identity and security

Practical reviews of account protection, multi-factor authentication, administrative access and suitable security controls.

Cloud backup

Independent OpenText SaaS backup for agreed Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data, with recovery planning and test restores considered alongside it.

Change and migration

Assessment and planning for tenant changes, email moves and wider cloud projects, with scope, risk and downtime considered before work begins.

Microsoft 365

Licensing that matches the way your team works

JM Restart supplies Microsoft 365 primarily through OpenText as a Cloud Solution Provider. We support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access and Windows 365, subject to the customer’s licences, configuration and agreed scope.

Our licensing experience includes Exchange Online Plan 1 and Plan 2, Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium and Windows 365 services. For larger or more security-focused customers, we increasingly recommend considering Business Premium where its identity, security and Intune capabilities fit the requirement.

Microsoft 365 licences are charged separately from managed IT support and use a separate cloud-services agreement. Customers must accept the applicable Microsoft Customer Agreement.

Google Workspace and Adobe

Support without forcing a platform change

JM Restart supplies Google Workspace and Adobe licensing through Ingram Micro, including the Adobe VIP programme. We can also support customers whose licences were purchased elsewhere.

We support the Google Workspace services available within the customer’s edition and agreed scope. This can include Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, Chat, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, Keep, Tasks, Vids, Gemini and Apps Script.

Google Workspace and Adobe licences are charged separately. Applicable customer terms must be accepted as part of the licensing arrangement.

Email security and deliverability

Protect the domain behind your business email

Reliable email depends on more than the mailbox. Domain records, sender authentication, access controls and security services all affect trust and delivery.

JM Restart can configure and review SPF, DKIM and DMARC, investigate deliverability and support tenant-security improvements. We use appropriate diagnostic and management tools to understand the configuration rather than relying on guesswork.

You do not have to transfer your domain or DNS management to JM Restart. We may recommend managing it where that creates a clearer, more supportable setup, but the decision remains part of the agreed service.

This work can include

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration
  • Email deliverability investigation
  • Mailbox and administrative-access reviews
  • Multi-factor authentication guidance
  • Email security services
  • Optional domain and DNS management

Backup in layers

Cloud storage is useful, but it is not the whole recovery plan

OneDrive, SharePoint, Google services and Dropbox can synchronise data and may provide version history or recycle bins. Those features are not the same as keeping an independent backup outside the primary cloud platform.

Cloud service

Your live email, files and collaboration data remain available to authorised users across supported devices.

Independent SaaS backup

OpenText can protect agreed mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams or Google Workspace data separately from the primary service.

Local recovery

Local backups can complement SaaS protection with device data, applications or system images that may support faster restoration.

The right combination depends on the information, systems and recovery time your organisation needs. No backup service removes the need for monitoring, test restores and a practical recovery plan.

Controlled cloud change

Plan migrations around people, data and risk

A migration should begin with the source environment, user needs, data, dependencies, security and acceptable downtime, not simply a destination product.

Discover

Record users, domains, mailboxes, files, applications, permissions and the existing licensing position.

Design

Choose the destination, identity, security, backup and coexistence approach that fits the requirement.

Prepare

Confirm responsibilities, communication, testing, timing, rollback considerations and user readiness.

Deliver

Carry out the agreed change, check access and data, then support users through the transition.

Common questions

Cloud support, explained clearly

Do we have to buy our licences from JM Restart?

No. We can support licences purchased elsewhere, although supplying and managing them can give customers a clearer administration, renewal and support route.

Are licences included in the Bronze IT support price?

No. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Adobe licences are charged separately and use a separate cloud-services agreement. Bronze does include agreed cloud monitoring and SaaS backup services.

Does Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace already back everything up?

Cloud platforms provide resilient services and may include version history or recycle bins, but these are different from an independently managed third-party backup. The appropriate protection depends on your data and recovery requirements.

Can you help if we use both Microsoft and Google services?

Yes. We can review the services, identities, domains and support responsibilities involved, then agree a practical scope rather than assuming everything must move to one platform.

Do you offer a fixed migration price?

Migration work is quotation-led because the source systems, users, data volume, security, timing and support requirements can vary considerably.
