IT support for care providers
Dependable technology for care teams, offices and people on the move
Approachable business IT support for homecare and community care organisations that need secure access, reliable devices and practical help when systems or suppliers overlap.
Support built around the working day
Help care staff reach the right systems without losing the human connection
Care work depends on people, but those people increasingly depend on email, shared information, mobile devices, connectivity and specialist systems.
JM Restart has supported homecare and community care organisations. We can help with the surrounding computers, accounts, Microsoft 365 services, networks, telephony, printers, security and supplier coordination that keep office and mobile teams working.
Customer names are held as internal experience evidence. Public naming or a detailed case study requires the customer’s approval.
A useful fit for
- Domiciliary and live-in care organisations
- Community care providers
- Office teams supporting mobile carers
- Growing providers that need clearer IT ownership

Support secure access without claiming to replace care governance
Care Quality Commission guidance says providers must keep accurate records securely and make them available to authorised people where needed. Organisations with access to NHS patient data or systems may also need to use the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
JM Restart can help implement and document agreed technical controls. The care provider remains responsible for its care records, policies, lawful processing, clinical decisions and regulatory obligations. We do not provide clinical, Care Quality Commission, NHS or legal assurance.
Technical priorities can include
- Authorised access and prompt leaver removal
- Supported, patched devices
- Encrypted and managed mobile working
- Independent backup and tested recovery
- Incident contacts and supplier escalation
- Clear technology documentation
Remote and on-site
Support that can follow the problem
Many account, email and software issues can be investigated remotely. On-site support can be arranged for network, Wi-Fi, printer, workstation and multi-supplier problems.
Regular on-site support can be discussed for locations up to approximately two hours from Ipswich, subject to the service agreement, workload and visit requirements. Remote services are available more widely.
Common questions
Care-sector IT support, explained
Do you replace our care software supplier?
No. We can support the computers, accounts, connectivity and wider environment, then coordinate with the specialist supplier where appropriate. The supplier remains responsible for its product and clinical or care-specific functionality.
Can you help staff who work from different locations?
Yes. We can review devices, accounts, Microsoft 365, secure access, mobile working and support routes around the way your team actually works.
Can you make us compliant?
No IT provider can transfer the organisation’s regulatory responsibilities. We can help implement agreed controls and provide useful technical evidence, while the care provider and its advisers decide the applicable obligations.
Can you support an urgent outage?
We will triage the technical issue within the agreed service. Response targets, working hours, escalation and any out-of-hours arrangements must be recorded in the customer’s agreement.
Would clearer IT ownership help your care team?
Tell us about your locations, people, devices, specialist systems and current support. We can help define a sensible next step.
